Marin D2D 2009

Congratulations to the EST lads who put in to brilliant performances over a gruelling 12hours at this years Marin D2D in Thetford forest last Saturday/Sunday. The team made sure that their presents was felt in both the pairs and four man, with a victory for Josh Hannan and Michael Raven in the male pairs, winning by 13 minutes and with Mike riding a total of 9 of the 15 laps himself. Once again our youngest rider Josh Hannan proved himself to be beyond versatile, stepping up to not only ride the most he has ever done off road but staying up through the night for his first time ever (bless 'im).

The four up team male race was probably the hardest contested race throughout the night, with an epic battle between EST, Torq, and Salsa ensuring every team member had to put fast lap after fast lap. It came down to less than 10seconds in the end but the combination of EST's Glenn Stanford, Shaun Aldous, Jason Smith, and Shane Ashby, proved too much for both Salsa and Torq to contend with, and EST took second place. Another great result that the team should be proud of.

Thanks again to Phil, Chris, Ricardo, and the rest of the guys at the on site EST unit whose healing hands proved to work wonders once more.
